Career in brief

After qualifying in Birmingham he spent three years as a general dentist in vocational training in Ipswich, England. He started postgraduate periodontal training in London in 1997 and, after his master's degree, worked as a clinical lecturer in periodontics at The Royal London Hospital, combining teaching, research and practice limited to periodontics.

In Melbourne his practice has been limited to periodontics since December 2001. Following his University of Melbourne diploma and College membership, he has practised as a specialist periodontist since 2013.
