Biography

Dr Miranda Hojok is a Melbourne-born and raised dentist who completed her dental training at La Trobe University, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and a Master of Dentistry. La Trobe's dental programme is one of the most clinically intensive in Australia, combining strong biomedical science training with extensive hands-on patient care.

Since graduating, Dr Miranda has joined the exceptional team at Smile Solutions — Australia's largest single-location private dental practice — where she has access to the full spectrum of dental technology, specialist colleagues and a multidisciplinary team environment that supports outstanding patient outcomes.

Dr Miranda's approach to dentistry is firmly patient-centred. She is known for her warm, genuine personality and for the care and attention she brings to building real relationships with her patients. What is happy gas (nitrous oxide) and is it safe? Nitrous oxide (laughing gas or happy gas) is a mild sedative agent inhaled through a small mask worn over the nose during dental treatment. It is widely used in dentistry and is considered very safe for most patients, including children.
