## About Lucia

Lucia Nguyen joined Smile Solutions, Melbourne's premier dental practice, with more than 12 years already behind her as a dental assistant in Melbourne. That background isn't just a line on a CV — it's what shaped her understanding of patients, and ultimately what pushed her to go further. She completed her Bachelor of Hygiene and Therapy at Charles Sturt University in 2017, and has been bringing that combination of hands-on experience and formal training to her patients ever since.

Lucia's approach is straightforward: she treats people, not just teeth. Her care is gentle, thorough, and built around the individual in the chair — not a standard protocol applied to everyone who walks through the door. In recent years, she's developed a particular interest in periodontal disease and its prevention, informed by growing evidence linking oral health to systemic conditions, especially heart disease. That connection shapes how she thinks about every appointment.
