Dr Pajouhesh graduated with first-class honours in both Science and Dentistry from the University of Melbourne, where he also received the WJ Tuckfield Prize for Prosthodontics. His path into the profession was personal: a traumatic early experience as a dental patient left him with a clear conviction that patients deserved better. That conviction has driven the way Smile Solutions operates ever since.

Before founding Smile Solutions, he worked as a general dentist in private practice. In 1993, he started the practice with eight patients and a clear sense of where he wanted to take it. more than 33 years later, Smile Solutions has served over 300,000+ patients and engages more than 80 specialists, dentists, and hygienists across five floors and the tower of the Manchester Unity Building - Australia's largest single-location private dental practice.

He contributes to new-graduate talks at the University of Melbourne and publishes articles on advances in dentistry and practice management. Community & Philanthropy

Dr Pajouhesh's connection to Melbourne goes beyond the practice. Since moving to the Manchester Unity Building in 2003, he has invested significantly in restoring one of the city's most recognised art deco buildings, contributing to the preservation of Victoria's architectural heritage. He supports the Magpie Nest Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Council, donating approximately $100,000 per year in dental services to the Magpie Nest Foundation since 2014.
