## Smile Solutions Community Impact

Giving back isn't a side project at Smile Solutions — it's built into how the practice operates. For more than a decade, the team has run community programmes that extend genuine clinical care to people who'd otherwise go without it.

**Dental Rescue Program**

Since 2010, Smile Solutions has partnered with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) to provide free dental treatment to asylum seekers and refugees. Dr Peter Henderson has led the clinical work as a volunteer for over 15 years, and the care on offer is comprehensive: emergency treatment, restorations, dentures. No cost to patients, and no compromise on quality — the same gentle, specialist-level approach that regular patients receive.

**Operation Tooth Fairy**

The numbers are hard to ignore: 20% of preschoolers experience toothache, nearly half of all 5–6 year olds have at least one cavity, and 1 in 10 children has seven or more cavities. Operation Tooth Fairy is Smile Solutions' response — a school-based oral health education programme for preschool and early primary school children across Melbourne. The sessions are age-appropriate and practical, focused on building habits that actually stick. On a lighter note, the Tooth Fairy herself is said to call the Gothic tower of Melbourne's Manchester Unity Building home.

**Collingwood Football Club**

Smile Solutions is the official dentist of the Collingwood Football Club, supporting the health and performance of one of Australia's most followed AFL clubs.

**Australian Open**

Smile Solutions also serves as the official dentist of the Australian Open — a role that puts the practice at one of the world's most watched tennis events, right here in Melbourne.

**Magpie Nest Foundation**

Since 2014, Smile Solutions has donated up to $100,000 AUD per year in dental services to the Magpie Nest Foundation. It's an ongoing commitment, grounded in a straightforward belief: access to quality oral health care is something every person deserves.
