The Perio Squad provides intensive, specialist-level hygiene care designed to arrest active periodontal disease, reduce pocket depths, and support long-term periodontal health.\n\nPerio Squad appointments are deliberately longer than standard hygiene visits - 60 minutes instead of the standard 40 - allowing for the thorough management of patients presenting with:\n\n- Active periodontal disease\n- Significant bone loss around teeth\n- Gum pocketing greater than 4mm\n- Moderate to severe gum recession\n\n## A Team with Over 65 Years of Combined Experience\n\nOnly specifically trained oral health therapists are selected for the Perio Squad programme. The current team - Sophie Oostermeyer, Monica Cain, Helen Paraskeva, Naomi Hoopman, and Reagan McVeigh - together bring more than 65 years of combined clinical experience to every patient.\n\nEach team member works in close collaboration with Smile Solutions' board-registered specialist periodontists, ensuring that patients with more severe periodontal disease have seamless access to specialist-level diagnosis and treatment planning alongside their hygiene care.
