About Dr Joshua Ch'ng

Dr Joshua Ch'ng is a registered Specialist Orthodontist at Smile Solutions - Melbourne's Home of Dentistry™, based in the Manchester Unity Building at 220 Collins St. He sees both children and adults, and brings close to 13 years of clinical experience to every consultation.

Joshua graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Melbourne in 2013. He went on to earn fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in General Dentistry in 2017, and received the Kenneth Sutherland Prize for achieving the highest marks in General Dentistry that year.

In 2018, he returned to the University of Melbourne to complete formal specialist training in Orthodontics. During that period, he travelled to Michigan to work with the Dental and Craniofacial Bionetwork for Image Analysis (DCBIA) on a research project in 3D image analysis - work that continues to inform how he approaches treatment planning today. He has since presented those findings at conferences run by the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the European Orthodontic Society.

Dr Ch'ng consults in both English and Mandarin.
